Winter 2024 Week 8: WICS x GDSC Introduction to Recommendation Systems

On Monday, February 26, 2024, of Week 8, WICS collaborated with GDSC to teach their members how recommendation systems are made. GDSC’s members introduced the mathematics behind finding a user’s interests based on their current preferences. They then showed how the math is implemented into code to streamline the grunt-work of the calculations. Finally, members participated in a challenging and competitive Kahoot game covering all the topics that were taught!
