General Meetings
WICS General Meetings are open to all UCI students and are a great way to connect, learn, and get involved. We meet every Monday from 6:30–8:00 PM in DBH 6011, hosting a mix of social, professional, and technical events. Just show up and you’re automatically part of the WICS community!
Mentorship Program
This program pairs underclassmen with experienced upperclassmen mentors who offer guidance on academics, career paths, and navigating life in tech. Through a supportive “family” system, participants build meaningful connections, gain confidence, and grow together within the WICS community.

Happy First General Meeting! On Monday, September 28th, WICS hosted the first general meeting of the year where new and returning students were welcomed. The night started off with introductions from the WICS co-presidents and more information about WICS. Then, to learn about each committee, members were split into groups that rotated through 4 activities led by committee co-chairs. The activities included Elementary Explanations (Community Outreach), #WICSTokers (Marketing), Speed Networking (External Affairs), and Human Bingo (Internal Affairs). Also, there was a cute photobooth for members to take pics and remember their first WICS meeting of the school year. The night was filled with new connections, learning about the committees, and amazing memories to start the year with!

On Monday, June 1st, 2026, WICS hosted its annual banquet for an evening of food, laughter, and community to celebrate the end of the academic year. Members had a chance to catch up with friends, enjoy some fun awards, and look back on all that happened throughout the year. It was a memorable night filled with good conversations and great company, making it the perfect way to wrap up another year with WICS.

On Friday, May 29th, 2026, WICS hosted a general retreat for the committee members at Corona Del Mar State Beach. Committee members had the opportunity to deepen their bond with each other through various board games, such as Scrabble, sharing food, and watching dolphins together. Near the end, members huddled together to watch the beautiful sunset from the shores, creating fond memories that will last for a lifetime.

On Monday, May 18, WICS hosted a career focused workshop allowing attendees to hear and learn from students with intern experience. By rotating groups every ten minutes, alongside getting to know each other through icebreakers, members got to hear firsthand advice from experienced students and ask them any questions tailored to their interests. In the end, members got to learn and get advice about the application process, different roles, and the day-to-day experience working at different companies to prepare themselves for their very own careers.
