General Meetings

WICS General Meetings are open to all UCI students and are a great way to connect, learn, and get involved. We meet every Monday from 6:30–8:00 PM in DBH 6011, hosting a mix of social, professional, and technical events. Just show up and you’re automatically part of the WICS community!

Mentorship Program

This program pairs underclassmen with experienced upperclassmen mentors who offer guidance on academics, career paths, and navigating life in tech. Through a supportive “family” system, participants build meaningful connections, gain confidence, and grow together within the WICS community.

  • Spring 2026 Week 10: WICS Banquet

    On Monday, June 1st, 2026, WICS hosted its annual banquet for an evening of food, laughter, and community to celebrate the end of the academic year. Members had a chance to catch up with friends, enjoy some fun awards, and look back on all that happened throughout the year. It was a memorable night filled with good conversations and great company, making it the perfect way to wrap up another year with WICS.

  • Spring 2026 Week 9: General Retreat

    On Friday, May 29th, 2026, WICS hosted a general retreat for the committee members at Corona Del Mar State Beach. Committee members had the opportunity to deepen their bond with each other through various board games, such as Scrabble, sharing food, and watching dolphins together. Near the end, members huddled together to watch the beautiful sunset from the shores, creating fond memories that will last for a lifetime.

  • Spring 2026 Week 8: Intern-taining Conversations

    On Monday, May 18, WICS hosted a career focused workshop allowing attendees to hear and learn from students with intern experience. By rotating groups every ten minutes, alongside getting to know each other through icebreakers, members got to hear firsthand advice from experienced students and ask them any questions tailored to their interests. In the end, members got to learn and get advice about the application process, different roles, and the day-to-day experience working at different companies to prepare themselves for their very own careers.

  • Spring 2026 Week 7: WICS Puzzle Party

    On Monday, May 11, 2026, WICS hosted its Week 7 Puzzle Party, where members were able to work together on 4 different challenges. To start off, members solved a riddle on a card they were handed upon entering the room. Then, depending on their solution, attendees split into groups of 4-6 to work on various puzzles including Leetcode problems, UCI-themed taboo, a small jigsaw puzzle and a crossword. Participants were given about 15 minutes to work on each activity, then switch tables until every group had the opportunity to complete each game once.
