On May 6th and 7th, WICS’ Community Outreach hosted, in collaboration with PCWOC, a 2-day hackathon for beginner hackers. 13 UCI, community college, and high school students came to the UCI campus to work together to build a project from scratch. The participants attended a short workshop series introducing fundamental tools, such as HTML/CSS, Git, SQL, and APIs, that they could use in their projects. After 24 hours of hacking, the students presented their project to a panel of judges to win some prizes. Congrats to all the winners!
