Fall 2025 Week 5: Conferences Workshop with the Dev Difference

On Monday, October 27, 2025, WICS had the pleasure of collaborating with The Dev Difference to host a conference workshop. In this workshop, members were guided by one of the company’s co-founders, Jovanay Carter, in planning out their goals for future conferences and career fairs, and what steps they will take to achieve those goals. Goals ranged from getting an interview, expanding networks, or even securing an internship. In addition, they brainstormed outlines for elevator pitches and shared them with other students for feedback. Several members got to present their pitches to the whole group in the final activity.
