Winter 2023 Week 3: Mock Technical Interviews

On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, WICS held its Mock Technical Interviews event over Zoom. Employees — from companies Cisco, CrowdStrike, Expedia, Google, Northrop Grumman, Slalom, Taco Bell, and Uber — were invited to give students mock interviews. Attendees had the chance to practice their technical interview skills and interact 1-on-1 with real company representatives. It was a great opportunity for them to gain experience in the hiring process, receive helpful feedback in a more casual setting, and get any career questions they had answered by people actually working in the industry. Throughout the day, WICS committee members worked in shifts to assign breakout rooms, check people in and out at their designated times, and keep everything running smoothly.
