Fall 2023 Week 6: Scratch-a-thon

On November 11th and 12th, WICS Community Outreach hosted a Scratch-a-thon for 5th to 8th graders from OCEAA and El Sol Science and Arts Academy. On the first day, students got to learn the basics of Scratch, covering topics from motion and looks to control and sensors to operators and variables. On the second day, they were able to use what they learned to create their own Scratch project in groups. At the end, we had 4 winning teams that were able to bring back prizes.
